From a functionalist perspective, there are five basic needs for society. The first involves the act of replacing members. In the movie, Cady replaces Regina George. She does this by turning Regina's friends against her, messing with her looks, and trying to take her boyfriend. The second basic need is to socialize new members. When Cady first starts associating with the Plastics, they tell her the basic rules of their group. On Wednesdays you wear pink, you can't wear a tank top two days in a row, you can only wear your hair in a ponytail once a week, and you can only wear jeans or track pants on Fridays. The Plastics try to mold Cady into a new person so that she will fit into their group. The third aspect is producing and distributing goods and services. The Plastics manipulate and control a lot of people at their school. They make people do simple tasks for them and expect others to tend to their every need. Regina also expects her mom to give her everything that she wants. The fourth basic need of a society is preserving order. Regina is the head of the Plastics and she enjoys having that authority. Gretchen and Karen follow Regina and do almost everything she tells them to. Under the Plastics are other groups in the school. The preps, jv jocks, Asian nerds, cool Asians, varsity jocks, girls who eat their feelings, and desperate wannabes are just a few. The final basic need of a society is to provide a sense of purpose. Each group serves a purpose at the school. The Plastics feel the need to control everyone and everything. The jocks are into sports and the desperate wannabes wish they were like the Plastics.
Conflict theorists state that structures are maintained to keep people in and out of power. The structure of the high school in the movie allows the Plastics to hold the power, that is until Cady slowly starts to overpower Regina.

Sensor Feeler
I am a concrete learner. I learn best if I can personally relate to what is being taught. It says that I should break large tasks into small ones, and I do that quite often. It is also important for me to talk things through when I am learning something new. I feel like this will help me learn better because I use the technique of talking things through with other tasks. It says that i need to learn things sequentially. I like to do things in an orderly fashion.
